Creating Questions in Laulima

There are three ways to create quizzes in Laulima:

1. To import a question pool produced by another program (WebCT, Respondus, etc.)
2. To create questions in Laulima using the quiz generator
3. To create questions in a text editor such as MS Word and convert them in Laulima

Quick Create (either an assessment or a question pool)

You must create the file first using a word processor or other suitable program. Five question types are acceptable with this feature: multiple choice, multiple correct answer, fill in the blank, short answer, and true/false. Click here to download a sample file (in RTF format) - there are two examples of each type of question.

1. Log in to Laulima and select your course
2. Click on <Tests and Quizzes> (activate the tool if you need to)
3. Enter the name of the test in the "Title" field
4. Click on the <Quick Create> button
5. Select the text in your word processor and copy
6. Paste the text into the large box at the bottom of the screen
7. Click the <Next> button
8. Verify that the questions transferred correctly and click either <Create Assessment> if you want this to be an assessment or <Create Question Pool> if you want to create a question pool

Note that can edit the questions after they have been created.
