- Background and Purpose
Windward Community College is part of the University of Hawaii system, and is governed by the policies and procedures of the system. As a state of Hawaii public institution, it is also governed by all Hawaii revised statutes and rules of law. Some policies have been developed at the Community College system level to assure consistency when appropriate. When policies and processes are needed at the college level, they are promulgated in the Windward Community Colleges Policies and Procedure Manual.
- Responsibilities
The Chancellor of Windward Community College has responsibility for the establishment, revision and dissemination of college specific policies and procedures. The college policies and procedures will be posted on the college web page and paper copies will be distributed to all major units of the college.
