Murabayashi Scholarship

This Scholarship was established to assist students in grades 6 – college who want to attend ‘Ukulele & Hula '06:  Learn from the Masters, Satirday, September 16, 2006, offered by the Hawai‘i Music Institute at Windward Community College.  The number and amount of the awards will be determined by the Dwyer Schraff Meyer Grant & Green - Hawii Community Foundation - Murabayashi Scholarship Committee.

APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

·       Must be a State of Hawaii resident (preference given to Windward Oahu residents) with a demonstrated interest in music and/or hula

·       Some degree of financial need, not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines

·       Enrolled in grade 6 – college

HOW TO APPLY:

1. Complete and submit the bottom portion of this application

2. Attach a brief essay (about 300 words) describing

3. Include a letter of recommendation from a music teacher or mentor, if possible.
