Have you wanted to include more hands-on scientific inquiry based curriculum into your classroom? Do you have a desire to educate your students about marine science, environmental science, and related topics while simultaneously addressing HCPS III Science Benchmarks? Would you be willing to go out into the field to learn hands-on techniques that help scientists monitor these environments to more effectively engage your students in the classroom? If so, this might be the program for you!

During the 4-week 2009 summer course, teachers will be able to utilize the knowledge and experience they have gained to collaboratively create HCPS III relevant lesson plans that are inquiry and place based, culturally and community oriented, and relevant to their classrooms.
