Summer Environmental Science Program
Professional Development Opportunity for Windward O'ahu High School Teachers
During the Summer of 2007, we will be conducting our B-WET/PaCES Summer Environmental Program in Environmental Science for High School students. This year we have additional funding to support professional development opportunities to six Windward O'ahu high school teachers. Participating teachers will receive training in environmental science laboratory and field research methods and will assist in the delivery of the summer high school program. The training will involve 5-7 Saturdays (full day sessions) in late spring and early summer. Then the teacher will contribute to curriculum development and student research project mentoring during the high school program (13 June – 21 July). Each teacher will receive a $4000 stipend and professional development credits.
